Mr Damien Miller, Australian Ambassador to Denmark, Norway and Iceland
Welcome to the official website of the Australian Embassy in Copenhagen.
It’s an honour to serve as Australia’s Ambassador to Denmark, Norway and Iceland. Even though there is a great geographic distance between Australia and the Nordic region, we have so much in common. We have shared values; work closely to promote international peace, sustainable development and human rights; and we are strong supporters of free trade. Our relations also benefit greatly from countless connections forged through years of education, cultural and tourist exchanges.
The embassy works to promote Australia’s national interests and government policy in Denmark, Norway and Iceland. In practical terms, this means we are often working closely with the governments of Denmark, Norway and Iceland to find solutions to many of the international security, trade and development challenges you read about in the news.
We work to support Australian businesses with commercial interests in the Nordic region and promote Australia as a destination for investment, tourism and education. Key priorities for the embassy are: advancing the Australian Government’s innovation and competitiveness agenda; working to build support for an Australia-EU Free Trade Agreement; and connecting Australian and Nordic industry clusters and universities. We also support the Australian community and visitors living in or visiting our patch of the Nordic region should they need consular or passport assistance. We take great pride in promoting modern Australia - reflected in our vibrant democracy, robust economy, strong Indigenous heritage, harmonious multicultural society, global outlook, and deep connections to the Indo Pacific region.
I trust you’ll find what you’re looking for on our website or on our linked sites. However, if you don’t you can contact us by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. We value your questions and feedback. You can also follow what the embassy and I are doing through our Facebook account and on twitter (@AusAmbDK).
